Learn to detect the unconscious rage in seemingly innocent questions and/or opinions.

Don’t react to hostile questions, not matter how well-turned out they are.

Let the person who is having the feelings, own the feelings.

Don’t confuse a smiling face with friendly fire.

Breathe, compose yourself, turn the tables: ask a question. Ask for clarification.

Shift the time-line of an interaction.
